This prestigious 8-day itinerary begins in the sparkling, cosmopolitan harbor of Bodrum and leads you to the untouched nature of the Hisarönü Gulf, the Aegean's most pristine and sheltered treasure.
On this journey, you will touch history at the magnificent ancient city of Knidos, where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet. You'll feel the almond-scented winds of Datça in your sails, indulge in a feast at the chic gourmet restaurants of Selimiye, and witness the authentic gulet-building tradition of Bozburun (our core passion!). - Bencik & Dirsekbükü: Fjord-like, deep, and sheltered bays of the Hisarönü Gulf, surrounded by pine trees.
Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Bodrum (Welcome Aboard)
Boarding starts at 15:30. Our crew will welcome you with a cocktail in Bodrum's stunning harbor, set against the backdrop of the Bodrum Castle and the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus. After the captain's safety briefing and route information, you can enjoy a pleasant walk through Bodrum's narrow streets, its stylish marina, or the historic bazaar. If all guests arrive early (before 18:30), our captain may set sail for a nearby cove for sunset. Otherwise, we will spend our first night in this vibrant and enchanting harbor.
Day 2: Palamutbükü & İnceburun
A fresh Aegean breakfast awaits you on deck as we depart Bodrum in the early morning. Our first stop is Palamutbükü, one of the most famous beaches on the Datça Peninsula. After a long swim break in its turquoise waters, we'll have lunch here. In the afternoon, we anchor in the calm waters of İnceburun, a more sheltered and tranquil spot, to soak in the peace of the evening.
Day 3: Aktur & Bencik Bay
After breakfast, we stop in the award-winning waters of Aktur Bay, where pine forests meet the sea. We then navigate to the most dramatic point of the Hisarönü Gulf: Bencik Bay. This is a narrow, deep, fjord-like bay that nearly splits the peninsula in two. You'll be captivated by the magnificent scenery and enjoy swimming in these mysterious waters.
Day 4: Orhaniye (Maiden's Sand) & Selimiye
In the morning, we head to Orhaniye, famous for the legendary "Kızkumu" (Maiden's Sand) beach, a sandbar that gives the illusion of walking on water. After photographing this unique geological formation, we turn our course to one of the Aegean's most stylish villages, Selimiye. We will drop anchor here for dinner and an overnight stay, immersing ourselves in the tranquil atmosphere of this peaceful village. Guests who wish can go ashore to explore the famous gourmet restaurants along the waterfront.
Day 5: Dirsekbükü & Bozburun
We anchor in Dirsekbükü, a well-known sailor's haven, for breakfast and a morning swim. Afterwards, we sail to the authentic fishing town of Bozburun, the heart of gulet building in Turkey (and where our own passion is rooted). We'll enjoy lunch with a view of this charming harbor and take a short walk along the coast to explore local handicrafts.
Day 6: Datça & Knidos (The Peak of the Route)
At the first light of day, we arrive in the heart of the Aegean, Datça. We'll explore its narrow streets, local flavors, and famous almond products. In the afternoon, we head to the most spectacular stop on our itinerary: the ancient city of Knidos. Here, where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet, you will feel time stand still as you watch the sunset from the steps of the ancient amphitheater. We will spend the night in this historic harbor.
Day 7: Black Island (Karaada) & Poyraz Bay (Return to Bodrum)
Waking up to the mystical air of Knidos, we begin our return journey to Bodrum after breakfast. On the way, we'll stop for a swim in the clear waters of Karaada (Black Island), very close to Bodrum (with an optional visit to Cleopatra's beauty cave). After our final swim at Poyraz Bay, we return to the glittering lights of Bodrum Harbor in the late afternoon. We celebrate this unforgettable journey with a final farewell dinner on board.
Day 8: Bodrum (Farewell)
After a delicious Aegean breakfast, you may disembark by 10:30. We say goodbye, leaving you with the blue of the Aegean in your mind and cherished memories of your time with "Bluecruis Yachting."
